Phil Teer

Regional Account Manager

Phil Teer serves as the Regional Account Manager for Aztec Tents covering the Southeast region of the country: AL, FL, GA, IN, KY, OH, NC, SC and TN. Phil, who earned his accounting degree from the University of Southern Indiana has over 40 years of sales experience. Teer started his career in the Tent Industry in January 1995, knowing nothing about tents, fabric, vinyl or what it took to manufacture a tent. Early in his tenting career he primarily focused on the amusement industry and developed into serving the special event tent rental industry.

Over the years Phil has become a wealth of knowledge in all things tent related ranging from helping guide you through making the correct tent purchase. With his signature touch to fly out to his client’s jobsite to help with their first installment of a new Aztec Tent.

A jack of all trades, Phil is quick with a one liner of “old southern sayings” that makes you wonder just what state he calls home.  When not traveling or working with customers, Phil spends his time in western Kentucky with his wife, Betsy, and their grandkids. Most weekends he can be found on the golf course or attending one of his grandkid’s events.

If you are lucky enough to be on his email lists or text threads, you will be graced with many .gif or comical photos pertaining to your conversation.

Phil can be contacted at p.teer@aztectent.com or by phone 270-823-4268

Frame Tents

Frame Tents feature a skeleton of aluminum framework and steel connectors to support the tent top. Although this style of tent is "free-standing" by design, it still must be anchored to resist wind forces. All styles of frame tents have no poles that come to the ground in the interior space of the tent.

Pole Tents

Pole tents rely on tension in the membrane to hold the shape of the tent system. These tents are supported by single or multiple centerpoles in the middle of the tent area and a series of sidepoles around the perimeter of the tent area. The tent is tensioned toward the anchoring locations commonly with a rope or ratchet strap.
