Michael Novosel grew up in Western Pennsylvania and currently resides 15 miles north of the city of Pittsburgh. A Penn State graduate, Michael has experienced several sides of the special events industry. As a member of the United States Golf Association’s Operations Staff, he participated in the set up and logistics for multiple U.S. Open Championships.  Michael also spent a couple years as a Project Manager for Classic Tents out of Torrance, Ca. Michael managed events that involved customer interaction, designing venues, installations and take downs. In this position, he encountered a wide range of tent sizes and styles.

Michael joined the Aztec Tents team in 2013 as Regional Account Manager in the following states: Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia.

Frame Tents

Frame Tents feature a skeleton of aluminum framework and steel connectors to support the tent top. Although this style of tent is "free-standing" by design, it still must be anchored to resist wind forces. All styles of frame tents have no poles that come to the ground in the interior space of the tent.

    Pole Tents

    Pole tents rely on tension in the membrane to hold the shape of the tent system. These tents are supported by single or multiple centerpoles in the middle of the tent area and a series of sidepoles around the perimeter of the tent area. The tent is tensioned toward the anchoring locations commonly with a rope or ratchet strap.
