Alex Kouzmanoff- Vice President

When Alex Kouzmanoff accepted a position as a Summer Intern with Aztec Tents and Events in 1997, he had no idea that it would lead to a career path that would include the sale of the rental division and emergence of the production side to help Aztec become the preeminent tent manufacturer in the United States. Alex attended Washington State University and put in many summer hours at Aztec, working in both the rental and manufacturing sides; splitting his time between customer service inside and on site as well as filling in as needed on the production side.
In 1998, after graduating from Washington State University with a double emphasis degree in Business Management and Human Resource Management, Kouzmanoff returned to Aztec to see if there were any opportunities. Chuck Miller decided to put him to work within the growing manufacturing division of the company. There, Alex helped expand the sales and marketing side to include new customers and markets both domestically and internationally. He also established customer advisory groups that were integral in creating new industry products, as well as improving existing product lines and features. In 2005, Kouzmanoff was named National Sales Manager for the now manufacturing-only Aztec Tents. As National Sales Manager, his responsibilities included managing the internal sales and customer service staff, as well as the development and growth of the external sales force.

In 2009, Kouzmanoff was named Vice President, where he continues work with the sales and marketing segment of the business with added focus on core corporate strategies and business development.

Along with his ongoing work at Aztec Tents, Alex has been integral in the success of several leading industry organizations. Kouzmanoff has served on the steering committee for the Tent Rental Division of the Industrial Fabrics Association International for two terms, and chaired the Marketing Task Force and Membership Task Force for that division. Kouzmanoff has been a speaker at several leading industry trade exhibitions, and has proudly served with several other trade associations including the American Rental Association and Mid Atlantic Tent Renters Association. He is a member since 2005 of the editorial advisory board of “In Tents,” an IFAI Publication; and a member since 2008 of the editorial advisory council of the Mid Atlantic Tent Renters Association.

Recently, Alex was awarded the American Rental Association’s Special Service Award for 2013. The committee aims to recognize a rental industry supplier who has made an outstanding contribution to the association. Alex’s work within the ARA at the state and national level has been invaluable through presentations, sponsorships and attendance at events. We would like to congratulate Alex and thank him for his contributions, commitment and exemplary service to ARA and the rental industry as a whole. We have all benefited significantly from Alex’s leadership and we are honored to have him part of the “Aztec Family” .
